[Review] Sports Watch from Bicycles.sg

So something mysterious arrived in the mail last week... ...

Something that defines the history and present. 

Something that is classic...

What could this small, brown box possibly contain?

*Anxiously opens the box*

A beautiful white sports watch staring back at me as the minute hand slowly ticked away...

I couldn't bear to take it out of the box yet and went on to take countless photographs of the watch.

There are lovely rhinestone-like crystals above each numerical digit. It looks simple but yet classy - a style that I totally love!

I was even more thrilled when I realized that the watch fits me perfectly without going through the hassle of punching extra holes on the strap to fit my child-like wrist. (I'm not kidding when I say that my wrist is exceptionally small! I often have difficulty purchasing general-sized watches and had to punch extra holes on EVERY watch that I purchased outside.)

I love the fact that it looks unisex as well.

The holes extend up to the very maximum and even kids can wear it!

The strap is made of silicon material and it felt comfortable on my skin. 

In case you are wondering, the exterior silicon strap can be removed! 

(It'll be removed during the change of batteries)

Here's one last photo of the lovely piece - I just couldn't stop taking photographs of it!

Not to mention that they are so kind (and thoughtful, too!) to provide additional battery and a metal stick in case the existing battery runs out.

I have been wearing my new watch ever since the first day I received it, and I think it looks really good on me! (Sounds thick-skinned as I am complimenting myself here, but who cares?!?! HAHA)

And most importantly... This Sports watch is definitely affordable as it costs only.. $14! (Comes with batteries, premium gift packagingand FREE mailing too!! *faints* Too good to be true, but it's not!)

Of course, they do not specialize in the sales of watches. As their name would have it, Bicycles.sg sells different kinds of bicycles (road/mountain/electric/foldable bicycles) and various accessories that I felt are affordable too! If you are an avid cyclist, I am sure this is a site you will not want to miss.

Although I did not purchase any bicycle from the online store, I was impressed by the reviews given by other customers. (You can read it under their "Reviews" tab!)

[Product Review] Amore Silver

You know, it's not easy finding jewelries of top notch quality nowadays. I own a few beautiful-looking necklaces and they RUSTED due to the cheapo material that they were made of. *heart shatters*

If you have been following my blog long enough, you would know that I am a fan of jewelries!!

Imagine my delight when I was given the opportunity by Amore Silver  to review a few pieces chosen by me! (Thanks, Oliver!)

As below are my choices and the verdict of their quality ; based on my honest opinions. (Of course, nothing beats honest reviews, right?!)

While I was browsing through their online catalog that had me spoilt for choice, one particular design caught my eyes immediately. 

I guess its self-explanatory as I have always been associated with cats due to my name (CATherine)

Not only that; I find that this design is really cute! 

Simple but eye-catching design, I will say.

Not to mention that it comes with an atas-looking box, too.

I purposely wore black color to show off the contrast! :)

Nice, right?!

Despite being a small-sized charm, it is beautifully designed with small details included - Do you spot a mini star at where the cat collar is supposed to be? :) I feel that this adds a tinge of elegance to the overall look.

And here's another design that I picked - Two Hearts as One! (I named it myself. LOL)

Perfect for boyfriends to give their girlfriends as a gift, or even for filial children like me (Gosh, I'm so thick-skinned)  to give their mummies.

Unlike normal designs with only one heart, this design comes with TWO hearts. 

If you are single like me, you can get one for yourself too as it symbolizes that you won't be forever alone. HAHAHA.

I did not do any editing to this photo at all - It's pictured as it is!

Made of excellent quality of silver, it is indeed eye-catching when worn - Definitely something that any lady will be proud of wearing.

I like the fact that the hearts appeared like they are embracing each other.

Not sure it's just me, but the sight of it is really heartwarming.

It depicts two hearts being fixed tightly - never letting go.

(It's amazing how such a simple design can make me fantasize so much!)

On to the earrings! :)

I selected the butterfly design as butterflies have always been associated with love, rebirth and beauty.

Initially, I was worried about the edges of the "wings" area in fear that they would accidentally poke my ears. But hey - they ain't sharp at all! In fact, its an adorable sight to have two butterflies dangling by your ear lobes! Haha.

Totally what I would call "STYLE".

You can tell that this photo has not really been edited as you can still spot my goddamn ugly acne scars. I had to take a close-up of this piece!

It comes with a beautiful gift box as well. Don't they look magical, as though they flew out from a fairytale garden?

And here's design #2 - A special heart-shaped piece

At first glance, I thought they looked like leaves! But hey - The twirling design within the heart was what that caught my attention.

Pardon my loose hair- I already tried to keep them out of sight!

I totally love these! Definitely something I would associate with the word "classy". Whether it is for an evening date or simply attending a wedding dinner, I am sure this would be one of the best suitable choices ever. Honestly, I have never seen such a design anywhere else in retail stores - Have you?!

So what is my final verdict of Amore Silver's products?

I'll say they are INDEED made of premium quality. (I know a premium quality product when I see one!)

 Mind you, these are not those $3 - $5 necklaces that are easily found in flea markets and they DON'T rust as they are made of REAL 925 silver. 

Imported from Italy, I would say that the standards are "up there".

Each piece comes with reasonable price tags as well (I repeat, its REAL SILVER!), and I would say the designs are pretty exclusive.

For people who are into simple/subtle designs, I am positive that you will be able to find something of your choice. 

If you are still caught in a  "I-don't-know-what-I-should-give-as-a-gift" kind of situation, just proceed to Amore Silver for your solution. I don't believe that there will be nothing that won't catch your attention. HAHA!

Get it for a loved one or yourself (Yes, its perfectly normal to pamper yourself, why not?!)!

There are times when physical shopping doesn't really help when it comes to gift ideas. I would often enter different stores and find similar products everywhere - So NOT unique.

BUT hey - You will be amazed at how online shopping can offer you more options than ever.

Shiny silver box with blue velvety cloth - It looks really sophisticated. 

Professionalism to the maximum level. 

CHIO. Wait till I show you the full version of the necklaces!

Labelled as "Chocolate Dream" by Glisten Jewel,  the name couldn't be more suitable!

One of the reasons why I chose this specific necklace is because it looks really sweet. A light baby shade of pink - complete with cute little charms.

*squeals*

A half-bitten chocolate charm. Any chocolate fanatic here will definitely be crazy over this. :)

One thing I absolutely love about the necklace is that it seems to tell a story. The charms blend in really well with each other - Chocolates, teddy, flowers, pearls... 

Sweet in a dreamy way.

Just in case you are wondering about the quality, here's a really close-up shot of the pearls.

Totally not those cheap plastic-looking materials that you can get from random stores.

And can you believe that it is actually priced at a freaking low price of ... ...

$5.50 ?!?!?!?!

I couldn't believe my eyes either when I saw the stated price. 

I suppose that this kind of material can easily be priced up to $10 or more in retail stores.

No kidding. I have seen lousier quality from other places and they are not even this cheap!

Ok,  now on to my jaw-dropping choice #2 necklace - The Wishbone necklace!

It has one of the most simplistic designs - and not a style I'll normally choose BUT I'm going to treasure this as it holds a strong meaning to it.

A Wishbone is known to be something lucky - and brings luck to the owner.

As cited from Wikipedia:

"In 15th Century Europe it was thought that the wishbone could be used to predict the weather.Nowadays, once removed from the turkey or chicken, the wishbone is dried and then held between the little fingers of two opposing "wishers". Once the wish has been made the bone is pulled by each person. The wisher who breaks off a larger section of bone is assumed to have their wish granted. Alternatively, the winner of this contest may choose to transfer the fragment of the wishbone, along with the wish, to a person of his or her choosing."

AND OF COURSE I AM NOT ASKING YOU TO ACTUALLY BREAK THE NECKLACE, LAH. 

Hahaha. 

It is just that the symbolic shape has been made into a necklace - and you can feel lucky wearing it on you.
