First post of 2016! (And a bit about unleashing the Shopaholic in me)

I'm trying my best to be an avid blogger like I used to, but I guess time doesn't permit at times.
Still, I'll try to update as much as possible - before my readers begin to think that I am forsaking my blog!
Well, I am starting this new entry in a brand new year - Yes baby, it's 2016! Time flies, isn't it? And this means that I'm one year older ? (No, I don't like the sound of it, please.)

And I have been crazy about online shopping lately - With all the awesome promotions going on, I would feel that I'm living my life with regrets if I don't buy them!
(Thanks ah, Shopee and Taobao
I guess I finally understand the definition of online shopping. It is the process of purchasing items that you don't really need but yet YOU WANT THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO CHEAP/reasonably priced TO MISS.

Seriously, I've already lost count of how many items that have been delivered to my house on an almost daily basis.
BUT THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT I HAVE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY.
NO. I only spent a few bucks purchasing stuff that were originally priced way higher than that. #shopaholicexcuses

I caught on the 12.12 fever sometime back, and got myself some stuff that are simply out of this world - based on their prices.
I posted this image on my Facebook when I got this - It's just so cute. (or was anyone actually tricked into thinking this is an actual Macbook?)
It's just a portable mirror, lah.
I'M NOT GONNA LIE. I got it at $1.20!!! Would you have gotten it?!
Shiok max. I have seen this before and wanted to get it a long time back - but it was priced way higher, approximately $5-$6 each. I was glad I placed my temptation on hold and caught on this promotion!

And I got myself a set of Mcdonald's Nanobricks too! (Of course they are pirated, lah... But I still had endless fun with them.)
These were just 3 out of the 6 I've successfully built after much heartache and frustration.
Cute?!
And I got the set of 6 at only $12!! (Actual price was actually $29.90) Faintzzz...

And a Tsum Tsum Lotso as well - $1.20!!!
Tell me, tell me - I can't justify this at all if I don't buy it, right?!?!
(I think this is not really an authentic Disney product also, but I don't mind since I am not a collector of the series. I just collect anything that looks cute to me!! LOL. So you Disney fanatics... Refrain from preaching or telling me that I've gotten myself a bootleg product. YES, I AM AWARE BUT I STILL CHOSE TO GET IT. Tqvm.)

There are still many other stuff that I have yet to post up, but I have gotten some really awesome products too. (Such as a 16GB Sandisk thumbdrive at only $1.20 and mini SDcard at $1.90!!)
What I thought was a scam (Referring to the Shopee app, an online shopping mobile platform) has proven me wrong.
Although Shopee did not take initiative to look me up to do any advertorial for them, but I shall give them a shoutout since they are so awesome, lah.
Thanks for the constant discounts that came with unbelievable price tags.

OK, I can't believe I just rambled on for the past half hour.
I've more to share on my next blog entry! Stay tuned..
AND HERE'S WISHING ALL MY READERS A HAPPY BLESSED 2016!!! :)

[Review] WheeloveSpree - Overseas Online shopping made easy!!!

If you are a mega online shopaholic like me, I suppose you would have heard of shopping sites such as Taobao, Amazon, etc.
(In case you haven't, those are overseas shopping sites)

Yes, many of the items are SO, SO superbly and unbelievably cheap  that it is IMPOSSIBLE not to be tempted. Unfortunately, it wasn't really an easy process trying to ship them over and the shipping fees would easily cost more than the items themselves.  It didn't help that online transactions can be a real hassle, and some sellers stubbornly DO NOT ship to Singapore despite how badly I wanted to purchase items from them. *(#*$()#*$

*starts hurling vulgarities*

"WHY AREN'T THOSE SELLERS BASED IN SINGAPORE?!?! WHY??!" I would often ask myself in agony.

I have wished for a simpler solution to these.
....

It was not until I heard of agent services that seem to be the best solution for struggling shoppers like me.
I just simply have to make direct payment to the agent via local banking and they will take care of the processes.
In other words, they act as a local middleman by helping me to purchase the items and have them shipped over to me safe and sound. It's like having someone to oversee and take care of my overseas transaction!!

Honestly, I had my doubts and reservations initially as I wasn't sure if everything was as easy as it sounded. I felt it was important for me to find out how it works.
As the saying goes, "You never try, you never know", right?

I have put one such agent service to the test - So now ... Let's see.

This review is based on my personal experience and I have attempted to record down my processes (from Day 1 when I placed my orders to the day I received my package)

When I entered the site, the first thing I did was to study how the flow works. Apparently, it seemed easy.
Here's an illustration chart they came up with on their site:

I was damn excited when I came to know that they are able to provide shipping from various countries as well (China, U.S, Taiwan, Korea, Japan...) I need not worry about the limitations of sellers, too!
Being a frequent Taobao window-shopper, I decided to shop for my loots there through WheeloveSpree and see how it would go.

Personally, I would come up with shopping lists and make multiple purchases so that they can be shipped together at one shot. It's more worth it this way as its like combined shipping!

After much browsing around the site (I almost fainted from all the chinese words), I decided to get a MP3 player (for my dad), microSD card and 3 apparels.

So the next step... Entering order details on the agent site, WheeloveSpree
The instructions listed on their site are pretty clear and clear-cut.
Just ensure that you enter your details correctly!

My item order details - I entered my 4 items accordingly into the list.

After submission of my orders (I was quite excited at this point), I received an e-mail on the same day with the calculated cost.
I love it how everything appears to be so simple and transparent - I could see clearly what I was paying for.

The stated SGD78.41 was considered my first amount to be transferred to WheeloveSpree as part of my purchase confirmation.
I guess it somehow acts like a deposit.

Afterwhich, they would proceed to place my orders with the merchants and all I needed to do was to SIT BACK AND WAIT FOR MY ITEMS TO BE ON THEIR WAY!! =D

I waited for approximately 2 weeks (can't be blamed as my items were all from different China merchants and I guess it probably took time for those deliveries before they were eventually sent to Singapore)

When I was informed that my items were finally on their way, I was so thrilled.
And YES, did I mention that WheeloveSpree has one of the best customer services ever?!
I received a revised calculation of the total cost via e-mail indicating that I have overpaid during my first payment and I would be refunded accordingly.

(If let's say my first payment was underpaid, I would be required to top up. BUT since I paid more than I should during the estimated calculation of my first payment, I would get a refund.)

I was shown the breakdown of final cost: -
(As I had indicated my bank account details in the order form earlier, WheeloveSpree would be transferring my refund to it)

A trustworthy agent, I would say!

So it all boils down to anticipating the arrival of my items now!

The delivery guy finally arrived on a Sunday (I opted for Home Delivery).

AND HERE IT IS!!! You have came a long way, baby!
*squeals like an excited little girl*

Even though I already knew what were contained in the package, I was still feeling anxious.
Slowly and steadily, I unwrapped the package to reveal its contents.
.
.
.
Perfect condition and exactly what I expected!

WheeloveSpree namecard!
I love their tagline as it is indeed true: Shopping Just One Click Away.

Since I am not writing a review for the items I have purchased from Taobao (I am only reviewing the agent services of WheeloveSpree), I shall not go into details of the quality of items. Even if I were to write about it, I have to say that they are indeed in great condition nonetheless!

I would say that it is a positive experience using WheeloveSpree's services (Just so you know, it was my FIRST time and I am really glad everything turned out so well).

Looking back at how I used to have headache of overseas online shopping, I am amazed how simple and hassle-free the whole process has became after engaging their services.
Why didn't I know about them earlier?! It would have saved me tons of trouble!!

I feel that such services have improved the lives of online shopaholics so much, especially if you are one who isn't really familiar how to shop on Taobao or other overseas websites. Imagine those language barriers!

The amount of web shops they support is really amazing - You can check them out on their website. It's like most of the well-known web shops are listed there!

I have had friends asking me how to shop on Taobao before, so there - One of the best solutions I have found so far. I am reviewing its services through my real-life experience, so you can be rest assured about its credibility.
When have I ever lied to anyone on my blog before anyway huh?!?! I always share the good stuff! :)

Thank you,  WheeloveSpree ,for taking such good care of my purchases and providing me efficient customer service - There is nothing I can complain here.
Now I know who to look for when it comes to future online shopping sprees!

AND YES, my dear readers... here's a little perk - WheeloveSpree has kindly agreed to come up with a special discount code just for my readers!!

It will definitely come in handy if you are intending to try out their services which I think you should!!

Here's the discount code you can use when entering your details in the Order Form:

CAT1019

You will receive a $2 OFF Agent Fee for your first purchase!

For Malaysians, you will receive RM 5.00 OFF Agent Fee for your first purchase!

It's shopping time again - New Look Women's !!

It's OCTOBER!
I get excited whenever it comes to October as it is a combination of Halloween and my BIRTHDAY! *hint hint*

And I would unknowingly spend more than I should on shopping for birthday clothes. (It's a natural thing RIGHT?!)
Just that I have more options this time ever since my choices expanded to taking my shopping spree ONLINE instead.
(Okay... I am not entirely sure if this is a good or bad thing)

And of course... What's a shopping spree without trying my luck at ZALORA?!
I'm checking out one of the latest "New Look" series - and I managed to spot something I like within 5 minutes of scrolling. =_= Damn.

AND SOME WERE EVEN ON OFFER!!

I remembered I have friends asking me about the shirt sizes and how I was so confident in getting them without worrying they aren't my fitting size.

Well. EASY.

Here's one of the examples I screenshot from the "New Look" series:

Under the "Size Details" tab for each apparel, everything will be stated clearly - and there is even the model's body measurements for reference as well. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THAT :)
I know I can always trust Zalora for the measurements because I've been there, done that.
Nothing beats a real life experience!

You know, I love and hate Zalora at the same time.

"Okay, I am just going to get a dress and that's it." I would think to myself.
Naive me.
I ended up shopping under other categories, and the promotions that Zalora came up with ain't making my pockets any better.

Such a fulfillment to my retail therapy.
I'm thinking if I should start shopping for Christmas too (even though it's a tad early, but... ...)
Urgh... I can't blog and shop at the same time... So I'm going to focus on my shopping for now.

If you guys are interested to join me as well, check out NEW LOOK WOMEN'S.

I suggest that you brew yourself a cup of coffee and sit down for it..

Shop Sephora at Zalora!

I believe most girls would have heard of this brand SEPHORA at least once in their lives. No?
Think shopping malls.

Basically, SEPHORA is a brand that sells a wide range of high-quality make-up, skincare products, etc. I have friends who are simply huge fans of Sephora as they do offer exclusive products that can only be found in their stores!

Now here's something that can make shopaholics squeal. (Especially if you are a huge Sephora fan)
They are now OFFICIALLY on the ZALORA site!
(Say Yay!)
In other words, shopping has been made easier - and with such a renowned brand like ZALORA- You can feel completely safe about the experience!

One thing I love shopping on the ZALORA site is because of its clean and user-friendly interface.
Just one look + click and you'll be able to find everything being displayed there nicely!

Here are some examples of their make-up products. Brushes, palettes, mascaras... You name it, they have it!
(I am sure make-up gurus will love these!)

Just hover your cursor over the picture on their page and you'll be able to see a super close-up version of the item.

Its like doing physical shopping at the store itself, just that you are at the comfort of your own home.

Of course, there are many MORE items listed there, including perfumes, body care, nail care, etc.
I have been to the physical store once and I simply love the women fragrances!

And yes - Another plus factor that I love shopping on ZALORA site is its FILTER feature. I could filter the products by popularity, price, etc.
You will never miss out on them this way!
Why is online shopping so convenient now, ah??! *shakes head in utter amazement*

I wish I could list my favorite items down here, but there are indeed too many. I believe most of the common in-store products can be found on the site too! You will never get yourself "lost" in the physical store again as you can find the items easily there.

So... You ready for some shopping fun now?
(Hey, don't you think that kinda' rhymes? Haha!)

[Review] Groupon deal: Vellus Hair Studio - GOOD or BAD?

As I'll be flying off to Taiwan pretty soon with the intention to have my hair permed (I have even made a booking with the salon two months before!), I decided to give my hair some nourishment and pampering in Singapore first.

As some of you may or may not realize, I have been a "Groupon deals hunter" lately, so much so that I am starting to be worried as I keep spending money on deals!!! (Heck, I really enjoyed those deals so far, especially those massage/spa ones)

I came across this one day while I was searching for hair treatment deals:

Vellus Hair Studio
Seriously, I have never heard of them before. (I guess Groupon is one of the ways for merchants to gain more awareness about their business?)
As the price was kinda attractive (Only $18 for Boce Hair Treatment + Wash + Blow), I thought I would give it a try.
Furthermore, the venue was located quite conveniently near Tanjong Pagar MRT. Definitely worth checking out!
Not to mention that I have my BFF going with me as well and we'll be trying out their services together! =D

Took a pic of myself before heading there. My hair was in such a terrible state that I had to wear my cap!

Unfortunately, I did not capture any photograph during the journey since I didn't intend to blog about it, but later changed my mind after the hair treatment (You will see why later).

I was taken aback by the salon's interior when I first set my foot in. In all honesty, it is a salon that does not look like a salon AT ALL. I was expecting to see some kind of standard salon chairs neatly lined in a row - but trust me, you will not believe your eyes when you see it for yourself. Unlike most salons, Vellus Hair Studio provides you all the privacy and comfort you'll need. Yes, you heard it right - You will have ONE room all to yourself.

So.. Basically, you can sleep, shake your leg, dig your nose, scratch your armpit for all you need - Nobody is there to watch (... Except the hairstylist, of course. LOL) Sorry, I'm just disgusting this way. Hahaha.

This was the first time I experienced such VIP treatment. Not to mention that Vellus Hair Studio works differently, too.

Instead of just plunging straight into cutting your hair or those standard one-liners, they will give you a briefing about hair scalp and a customized hair analysis of your scalp/hair condition! Using a micro device, you will be able to see a 1000% close-up of your own scalp and hair on a TV screen (which I thought was kinda' disgusting to the extent that I felt I had goosebumps).

It felt weird at the same time knowing that it is YOUR own scalp/hair that the screen is featuring. Seriously, my scalp condition was kinda' horrible as there were jelly-like substances clouding all over my scalp area and oil clogs. Those were so micro that they were not apparent to our naked eyes at all - unless using their micro device which I thought was amazing.

Sorry that I did not take any picture at all during the process (I regretted much!) to show the before/after treatment as I did not expect myself to be blogging about it.

As my Groupon voucher was only for hair treatment, I topped up an additional $74 (It was originally $148 but we could have the 50% discount due to being a first-time customer) to try out their scalp treatment. (Note: I topped up on my own accord. I'm impressed that there was no hard-selling on their side at all)

If you were to ask me, I doubted the effectiveness of the treatment AT FIRST as I have never done scalp treatment before. I was actually convinced by the hairstylist's confidence in making my hair better after the treatment.... and GOSH, she really worked her magic in bringing my badly damaged hair back to life.
I do not have any before/after picture, but I did camwhore abit using my mobile phone during the process.

Here's a random pic of the recommended cranberry tea that was served to us. (Plus point added for having such a service) The tea was nice!

While it was my BFF's turn for her treatment, I camwhored again:

And another using my camera.

Mind you, I am not lying and neither am I affiliated with them in any way - so I earn nothing from advertising for them. I AM PURELY SHARING MY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE because it worked for me, and definitely worth a try if you are looking for a different-than-normal salon.
It may sound unbelievable, but you will be amazed at how different a treatment will make your hair look!

You will even be given the chance to witness the effects of the treatment as the hairstylist will use the micro device to show you the results before and after. No kidding here, but majority of my oil clogs were gone. My scalp looks like a stranger's. LOL. At the same time, you can really FEEL a cleaner and softer scalp after the treatment physically. Just use your hands and reach out for your scalp.

They do have a package for us to consider, but I did not sign up for it as I am starting to feel the pinch in my pockets. It was a real shame as I LOVE their services, and probably I'll return again when they have future promotions. I am not so much of a package-person... So.. Yeah.

But I am thankful to have found this salon through Groupon. I have always hated merchants that resort to hard-selling customers after they have purchased the deals to top up and stuff, but be rest assured that Vellus Hair Studio will not do that. That is one of the factors why I am impressed as well.

The staff were very friendly as well, and they were so kind to lend me their lighting for photo-taking purpose! :)

Here's a sneak peak of my OOTD (and my hair after the treatment) - If you like the dress I am wearing, do keep a lookout for my upcoming advertorial that I'll be doing for the online store! :)
I'll feature more photos soon!

P/S: I received positive comments the next day regarding my hair and how much better it is looking now. It made me a happy girl because I have never expected this!

Since sharing is caring, here's their address:

Online shopping VS Physical shopping

This blog entry is not an advertorial ; but just my thoughts on ONLINE SHOPPING and PHYSICAL SHOPPING.

Let's see if you do share the same sentiments... ..

Online Shopping Vs Physical Shopping

FACTS ABOUT ONLINE SHOPPING:

- You don't really feel the pain of money draining from your bank account when you make online purchases. Sounds aggressive, I know. But it's a true fact when it comes to online shopping. Come on, are you the guilty one?

- You'll tend to buy MORE than what you initially planned to. (Remember those times when you would just do a "casual" browsing at the web page, and you ended up checking out a number of items that you never thought you would need/be getting?)

- With online shopping, you can basically (or technically) shop 24 hours without being afraid of closing hours or being observed by shop assistants. All you'll need is a mouse or an "enter" button.

- Online shopping makes you lazy. At times, you don't really see the reason to go physical shopping when you can just hug your pillow and surf the net at the comfort of your own home.)

- Gone were the times when you would purchase from a physical store immediately without checking the prices online. Yes, a retail shop will not be able to beat the online prices.

- Online shopping includes INTERNATIONAL shopping - and one does not need any air ticket to fly to that particular country to get them.

- You are able to filter your searches and look for specific items that you want ; instead of sourcing painstakingly for them in physical stores. It makes everything a whole lot easier, does it not? *smiles*

-Online shopping gives you more room for consideration. How convenient it is to read reviews before making your purchase! There is no obligation too. No hard-selling. No nothing.

Ah, I am not saying that physical shopping isn't ideal - It has its advantages, too.

A physical shopping trip can give you the utmost retail therapy you'll ever need. You will be able to touch the items physically (some shoppers like to feel them using their hands. LOL) and get them immediately off from the shelves without any waiting time. In addition, a shopping experience with family and friends is like no other! :)

So what about me?
I guess I am a neutral - I LOVE BOTH online and offline shopping. Online shopping adds more to the "surprise" factor, and I am always excited to look forward to my items during its delivery. Needless to say, I tend to spend more online than offline.

However, there is something that I'll not really make purchases on - and that would be SHOES. As much as I often come across OMG-SO-AMAZING shoes that I would fall head over heels with, I restrained myself from getting them as it's kinda.. risky (due to the size issue!)

Despite the fact that shoe size charts are often provided, you can never really trust them as different manufacturers have different cuttings. What you think you can fit may not be the case.(Imagine the disappointment you will feel upon the discovery that you are unable to fit into the shoes that you have been looking forward to!)
Not only that, you will not be able to test the comfort level of the shoes - which can only be known when you wear them. (And this is only possible in physical stores!)

I have read many shoe reviews from buyers who would complain of such issues. Shoes are either too big, or too small when it comes to different cuttings. So.. I guess they would be something I'll refrain from buying online!

Ah, what about you? Are you more of an online shopper, or an offline one? =P

It's Christmas! Gift ideas, anyone?

December is here, and so is Christmas!
Christmas is here, and so are the presents! *chuckles*

Now, speaking about Christmas... I know you are probably groaning of a headache as it's usually the season of shopping for gifts.
Yes, gift shopping can be a great deal of fun - but it can also be a brain-wrecking task.

Or probably you have something in mind, but you have no freaking idea WHERE or HOW to find that particular item in a physical store.

That's when the world of ONLINE SHOPPING comes in handy.
You know, ever since I got to know online shopping exists, I have relied greatly on it to shop for gifts I have in mind. It can be anything, be it just a coin purse, pouch, bag, etc.
Seriously, the internet has never made shopping easier. The excitement of scrolling through the online catalog with just a click of the mouse, and knowing that the item you've purchased is on the way to your house is just oh-so-thrilling.

I guess I am getting increasingly lazy nowadays that I refuse to get up from my comfy seat anymore. I admit, I do most of my shopping online - and one of the reasons is because I feel that the prices are ALWAYS cheaper.. and in some cases, the quality can be surprisingly better than what you would expect.

As Christmas is just around the corner and I suppose it's also a great *ahem* time so shop for nice stuff for myself at reasonable prices as well, I found myself at the Zalora main site again. (It's always one of the first few sites that I have in mind whenever it comes to online shopping due to its affordable prices and choices!)
I believe many online shoppers are familiar with the company - Even my boyfriend purchased a pair of shoes from them once and I was impressed by its price and quality.
 Hmm. Definitely legit.

I was at their website recently again - and check THAT out! All in the spirit of Christmas!

I love the fact how user-friendly it is. I can filter the price range just so I can view items that are within my budget.

I got so effin' excited just by browsing the catalog as I seemed to love every item I see.
*Note to self: Cannot, cannot. I must practice self-control*

Whether if you are a guy or girl, I believe  Zaloracan help to solve your problem for Christmas gifts. From simple accessories, shoes to even clothing, you will definitely find something that appeals to you.

And if you can't.... Here's a splendid idea to get for your friend and loved ones - E-GIFT CARDS!!

If you are having trouble in deciding what to get for them or worried that they may not like whatever you are buying (since different people have different tastes; unless you are VERY sure of it), it will definitely be one of the best gift ideas! Gifting a gift card is like a wildcard- they are entitled to their favorite item on the site, as long as it's within the given value!
Since Zalora offers such a wide range of items, I believe finding an ideal item isn't a difficult task.

And lastly... ... Not to mention that Zalora is having a sales (UP TO 80%) too - all in the spirit of Christmas~!!

Come on.. It's not often that you are gonna' get such good deals- and you gotta' owe it to Christmas, which is happening only once per year!
So.. Grab that perfect gift, either for yourself or your loved one.... Shopping can never be easier when it comes to using just your mouse to click!!
Shop away now!!

http://www.zalora.sg/christmas/

P/S: Pssst.... One more thing, do you know that signing up with their newsletter will entitle you to a S$10 CASH VOUCHER?! On top of that, you will be able to receive first hand info on their latest deals and promotions!! Awesome much?!?!

Shopping Addiction: My new AQUA mobile phone!

You know, sometimes I really love and hate Qoo10 (previously known as Gmarket) at the same time.
They sure have their ways to make online shoppers splurge on their wants instead of needs!
Imagine scrolling through their best deals out of boredom... And suddenly you spot something that captures your attention..
You start to add it to your shopping cart.. TA-DA...!
And the rest is history.

Of course, there are other highly recommended sites as well that have the same addictive trait.
One such example is ZALORA, an e-tailer that offers a wide variety of choices (be it clothing, accessories, etc) for women and men! (Seriously, how often do you see a web store that has so many unisex choices - and yet at irresistibly affordable prices?!)

As if that is not enough, Zalora offers FREE delivery and CASH ON DELIVERY, too!

*squeals*

Totally spoilt for choice, lah. I'll go through their catalogue slowly.

And as below are just some of my random purchases (Not from Zalora though)- CARD PHONES from Qoo10 that I just wanna show off~ (GOOD THINGS ARE WORTH THE SHARE, RIGHT??! ;))

No, it's not an i-banking device..
Nor is it a calculator. =_=

It is a CARD PHONE! And it is really a card-sized phone - just like your any other ordinary ez-link card.
I got it for my mum as I thought it should be basic enough for her liking.
Well, in case you are wondering.. Yes, it supports any other normal SIM card. I actually got her a Singtel prepaid card to go along with it.

I was so fascinated with the phone that I ended up falling in love with one myself - except that mine has got to be a tad more expensive as I got a waterproof version.
So this means that I can drop it into the toiletbowl without worrying that it will become faulty.
Just kidding.
(Why in the world would I drop it into a toiletbowl unnecessarily, man?! LOL)

I actually wanted it badly due to its NEON color.
I don't really care about the waterproof function.

And no, I didn't get it from Qoo10.
It was the sweet boyfriend who went the extra mile to get it for me at a physical sports store in Singapore - yes, he did it behind my back.
(I was like.. WHAAATT??!!!)
*Ouch* I could see a hole burnt in his pocket.
Nonetheless, I am currently making good use of the phone for work purposes.
It's actually a VERY basic phone and not really worth the money that was paid for, but I still stubbornly love it as I know it's special and you cannot really find it in everyday stores.

Here's a short video that features it:

Just a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:
-Small and handy (You can hang around your neck like a travel pass. Accessories and cables are provided!)

-It has a loud ringtone. So loud that even the deaf can hear it.

-Waterproof? (I haven't tested it out yet so I cannot comment much on this)

-Good for simple users such as kids, army, etc.

-Despite its simplicity, you'll be surprised that it as a FM radio function!

-Requires only very minimal charging time * Only 30 minutes and the phone can be on standy for 3-4 days! Amazing battery life, huh?

- A perfect conversation starter. I have met many people who are fascinated at the sight of this baby and started asking about it.

Cons:
-Initially, I thought it would be an ideal phone for senior citizens.. But it seems that the font and buttons are quite small.

-And no, it doesn't have wifi or bluetooth FYI.

BUT GUESS WHAT HAPPENED A FEW DAYS AGO?!
I was walking past this sales promoter and he attempted to compliment me on this cute little phone.
It was not until when he said..
"Hey, that's a calculator? Cute!"

*GRITS TEETH*
This little baby cost over a $100 and he mistook it for a calculator!?!?!

*Breathes in, breathes out*
OK... But I do admit it does look like one.
Oh well.
If anyone is interested in this phone, you may feel free to visit their website for more info at:
www.card-tec.com

(And no, I am not earning anything from this, nor am I in any way affiliated to them.)

Online Shopping Addict - Gmarket

I believe most of you out there have heard of Qoo10.sg, or previously known as Gmarket (Seriously, I just couldn't get used to their new Qoo10 name - how the heck do you pronounce that! They should have just stick back to Gmarket. Grrr.. )

Well, I wasn't really an addict/fan until I began mass shopping recently on the site. I ordered things that are quite high in rarity, such as my mobile case cover as I am using Huawei brand that most stores outside do not have.

It was a pleasant experience until now. All of the goods I ordered came in good condition as expected, and delivery was reaaaallly fast.

But there was one thing about them that disturbed me generally whenever I was doing some random online shopping on the site.

They often trick customers with too-good-to-be-true prices (such as $0.99 or $1.99 for an item that's worth $19.90) on the front page of the website. Of course, you click on it and you'll be led to their page.

You will then have the misconception that most of their items are really going LOW at that price.
You start to happily pick out and jot down the list of items that you want from the store...

Without noticing that there is an OPTION price on the dropdown list.

(For those of you who are no familiar with the site, the option price is like an "add-on" price on top of the "attractive" price that they advertised so nicely on the page.

In a way, the $0.99 price that you saw is considered as only the BASIC price. You cannot really purchase anything with the advertised price unless you ADD on from the option list.
And sometimes, the Option prices are so ridiculous. It can be $10.00 or even $20.00.

In total, you will be paying the initial advertised $0.99 ON TOP of the $10.00.

I came across a perfect example a few weeks back, but the listing is no longer available when I check back now. Hence, I shall take a random example:

Notice that the item was advertised at only $9.90.

But you CAN'T actually click on the purchase button until you select from the drop-down list that has a top-up price of $22 and $35 respectively.
Come on, the prices are not even close!

I am not sure if anyone feels the same way as I do (since I am not really an expert on qoo10 as it was only recently that I started online shopping on the site.)
It was just that I felt some of the sellers are trying to mislead potential consumers into thinking that their items are REALLY going at that kind of low price, leading them to click on their page.
They will then attract consumers with beautiful photos of all the items they are selling, and more often that not - those items required ALOT of add-on price.

As a shopaholic, I know it's all in the shopper's mind. If you have spotted something nice, you'll begin craving for it and develop the "OMG, I MUST HAVE IT" mindset.

Eventually, you decided that you wouldn't mind paying the additional price for the products, even though they cost a bomb.

Sounds familiar?
Plead guilty, now. (LOL)

I have so many things to complain whenever it comes to online shopping, especially on deal websites. That will be something I am going to blog about in time to come. It will be beneficial for you because I'll be blogging from my personal experience!

P/S: I have nothing against Qoo10.sg with regards to this entry. I am just commenting how some of the deals work - They are misleading to a certain extent.
