My Halloween Memories!

It's August and I smell Halloween already!
(Yeah, I know it's still a wee bit early, but well... ...)

It's a shame that Halloween isn't a WIDELY celebrated day in Singapore; but its getting more well-known now, with thanks to annual Halloween events such as Halloween Horrors (Universal Studios) and Sentosa Spooktacular, etc.

My love for Halloween began at a really young age, with my dad bringing me to an event that was held at Jurong Bird Park (I still remembered it was called Hocus Pocus). I was deeply intrigued by those scary-looking props and being "frightened" by humans dressed in ghostly costumes.

As years went by, I began looking out for Halloween-related events in Singapore... and even had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity working for Universal Studios during its first Halloween Horrors Night. What an honor! It became part of my memories that I will NEVER forget, and I thank God for the opportunity.

Here were a few of my dress-ups from previous years:

This was for a Halloween Audition and all 3 of us went all out for the deal!
(YES, WE EVENTUALLY GOT THE JOB! *squeals*)

And here's another look @ the Singapore Flyer:
With le' bff, PW. :)

The 3 of us - That's Miao on the left; I did the make-up for her and it was a success as kids were frightened!

And I was Michael Jackson last year. LOL

Ahh, so many fond memories just by looking back at my Halloween pictures. HALLOWEEN IS THE ONLY DAY WHEN I CAN DRESS UP FREELY WITHOUT ANYONE THINKING I AM CRAZY!

So.. You might be wondering what I am planning to be this year...
I have got my costume and wig ready..
So...

.
Behold..

YES! I will be Queen Elsa from Frozen!
LOL. I am quite excited about the turnout though *trembles*

Stay tuned to my blog for more updates nearer to the Halloween period! I'm just as excited as you are!

P/S: Do feel free to contact me if you do know of any Halloween event in Singapore that is worth joining!

Time Travel dream

OMG, I had wanted to blog about other stuff but decided that I NEED to blog this current topic before it fades away from my memory.

Read only if you are interested. (But I assure you this is an interesting entry. HAHA)

I seldom had dreams, and I just had one today!
It was a time travel experience. (Yeah, I know you must be rolling your eyes at the screen and going "Oh, this girl must have watched too many time-travel drama serials!")

Well... Believe it or not, I have not watched a single time-travel drama serial, despite my friends and colleagues recommending them. (But I do hope to watch them someday as I kinda' like the genre.)

My dreams don't usually come true, so I just treated it as "just another ordinary, nonsensical dream".

Okay.. So I traveled back to Qing Dynasty (I shall skip the minor details as they are not so much of the interesting part that I wanted to share here).

There was another Israel-looking guy beside me in the dream, and he had curly hair and a beard. (It seems like he had time traveled as well and we met.)
I have never seen or know of this guy before in my real life, so it was like meeting new people in the dream.
We had a small chat, and he was telling me how much he couldn't get used to the food in Qing Dynasty as he had constant stomachache after consumption. (LOL)

After a short while, I asked him a wee bit about his background, in which he replied he came from BC 1006.
I was not sure what interrupted my dream, but I woke up soon after he said that.

Well.... Here comes the interesting part of the whole thing.
I woke up, (with the image of him still fresh and strong in my head) and went to Google BC 1006. I actually did it out of fun and curiosity, and certainly didn't expect any results as it was afterall a nonsensical dream.... Right??

BUT... BUT... BUT...

I stopped short in my tracks as I indeed found shocking results from my "casual" search about BC 1006.
The resemblance!!!

There was REALLY a guy back in BC 1006, and he was named David.
According to Wikipedia, the result was:

1006 BC—David becomes king of the ancient Israelites (traditional date).

Did I just see the word "Israelites"?!

O.M.G.

This picture below was extracted from this wikipedia page:
The resemblance of the guy I chatted with in my dream!!!

The only difference is that he had shorter hair and beard in my dream.

I found another illustration of him, and this was approximately the length of his hair and beard in my dream:

If you are feeling bored and have nothing better to do, you can feel free to find out more about this guy at:

Edit: I am not confirming or implying that the guy I met was David. It was just that I found a picture of David that bears a resemblance to the guy in my dream.

Of course, if you have any time travel dreams experiences or had spoke to the same guy in your dreams (LOL), you may feel free to share them with me!
Somehow, I was glad I had this dream.. At least, I feel productive while sleeping!
LOL.

P/S: This entry is just for my sharing. It is up to you whether you believe it, or not. Sometimes, life is just unexplainable!

Traveling Back in Time

Honestly, it has been a looong time since I last had a photoshoot ever since I began stepping into the working industry.

Finally... I tried out a totally different shoot last week. I guess pictures speak a thousand words.
(The official photos from the photographers ain't up yet. The below shots were all my self-camwhored shots while waiting for the photographers to set up their stuff. LOL)

When I first got the costume, I was worried that I would look bad. Seriously, I didn't really look at myself in the mirror with full costume on.
Heck - I even changed my make-up technique for the dress-up. My usual eye make-up would be so much more heavier. (Yeah, no more long fake lashes for once. LOL)

Surprisingly, my friends prefer my light make-up more than the heavier one.

Colleagues who have seen my photos thought that I am one who is into Cosplay.

BUT NOOOOO...
In fact, I don't ever want to be associated with Cosplay (No offence to anyone)

Believe it or not, the above costume is for my Halloween event. (LOL)
Yes, I'm going to wear it for Halloween - but with a different makeup, of course.

I simply love October! Not because of the fact that it is the month of my Birthday, but cos' its the month of Halloween, too!

So what/who do you want to be?
