A Photoshoot after so long! :-)

It's high time I should be more hardworking and start updating my blog regularly before I get forgotten *sniffs*
Nonetheless, I am still thankful to all those who are still following my blog after so long - Thank you for your support!

Many things have happened in my life recently - Ups and downs, but I guess I shall focus more on the positive ones.
One of the happier recent things that I did was a photoshoot with my dear photographer friend, Sam Song (SS). (It has been AGES since I last had a photoshoot. As some of you may know, I have not been participating in any photoshoots since I held a full-time job - AND I REALLY MISSED IT!!)

I have had the blessing to know Sam and his lovely wife-cum-assistant, Angie, many years back - and we had decided to come together to do another shoot again after so long!
Despite the fact that I have really gotten rusty and not as flexible as before in terms of posing in front of the camera, I felt so at ease and comfortable with them during the shoot (They are really very lovable people whom I truly enjoyed working with). I am really grateful to both of them for accommodating and being so patient with me. Especially Angie, who had provided such great assistance. :)

Although many of you may have seen the images on my Facebook already, I shall re-post them here just to share a few of his work!

(Note: I understand I may look like a foreign bride, but please do not use the images for any dating websites hor! All images copyright: Sam Song Photography)

Got look like my true self, SGCOMPLAINQUEEN or not?!! Haha. Honestly, I have always been a fan of Sam's work, and I felt really honored to be able to work with him on the shoot. (If you are reading this, Sam, here's a shoutout to you and Angie: THANK YOU!!!)

I just think that he is a VERY talented photographer with great skills. I am in absolute awe of his scenery shoots as well.
One can tell that his photographs aren't just a minute's work but tons of effort invested in them.

If anyone is interested to view more of his work or engage his services as your photographer (which I am certain you WON'T regret, guarantee plus chop!), feel free to head over to his official photography page on Facebook at:

And in case you are wondering, no - he did not ask or pay me to advertise for him. I am just sharing what I think is really good! :-)
I hope you guys have enjoyed the pictures, I'll share more after my next shoot! :p

Photography Services lobang!!

Have you ever wanted to own a set of professionally taken photographs, but yet have no 'lobang' for a an ideal photographer??
OR
Are you looking for someone to capture your beautiful moments on camera during your ROM/Engagement party/wedding? (Come on, it's a BIG day and you wouldn't want to mess that up with poorly-taken photographs, right?!?!)
OR
Are you looking for someone to capture that once-in-a-lifetime moment during maternity?
OR
Or are you simply looking for a photographer who has the ability to turn your images into something model-worthy?!

If your answer is Yes, yes, yes, yes anddd YES.. then read on because I am going to introduce a special lobang for you!

, made up of a team of dedicated Singapore-based photographers whose aim is nothing but to capture your best moments in life.
(Okay lah, I can vouch for the quality because one of the photographers is my personal friend, but that doesn't mean I am biased hor!! I just know a good work when I see one)

They have a Facebook page that is constantly being updated as well, and I just love seeing some of their works there... With credits to their Facebook page, let me share with you some of my personal favorites:

A ROM shot that makes me so jealous:

Personal makeover shot: (Now that makes me tempted to shoot something like this, too..)
(YES, do you know that they provide hair and makeup artist too?! So do not worry if you don't know how to make-up. Just leave everything to their good hands!)

Okay lah, there are more on their Facebook page- You can click in to see for yourself!

Honestly, I do think investing in photoshoots at least once in your lifetime is WORTH it.  Sometimes, I love being photographed - Not because I'm trying to show off anything, but I just feel that the moments captured are just... timeless. It's that specific moment stays in there forever - immortalized. You could look back at the photograph 15 years later - and that youth captured was priceless. No amount of money can bring those moments back, but photographs will always be there to remind you of them.
It's like a pictorial diary of events in your life.
If not for the fact that my parents really dislike being in photographs to the core, I would really want to arrange for a family photoshoot. Oh well.. I guess that will never happen for me.)

Photoshoot with my Shreky!

It has been some time since I last had a photoshoot (Not that my current photoshoot is an official one anyway), but it is more like a fun and special one.

So... Why is it special, you ask?

I totally LOVE the selfie concept that is incorporated in the studio. In other words, there is NO photographer present at all.
Yes, no more excuses of being camera-shy! For all you know, you may end up loving the experience.

You are your OWN photographer with a handheld remote control that can be easily hidden or camouflaged if you know how.

You are allowed the whole studio to yourself to go crazy with poses without being paranoid that there will be anyone laughing at you.

That's me with my shreky - It was her first time going for such photoshoots and we had lots of fun!

There were different various types of props and wigs as well that we played around with - Here's one of the crazier shots (Her expression is epic here!) Haha

I know what you are thinking there - No. I am straight. Straight as a ruler, ok?

But that doesn't stop me from loving my shreky nonetheless.
(We are "legally" married on Facebook afterall! LOL)

We took approximately 200+ over shots - but I can't possibly post them all here.
Anyway, thank you so much for the fun experience! I love the fact that the photos are all burned to a disc at the end of the session (It's FREE!) and we can have each and every shot taken- be it good or bad.

Photoshoots can be lots of fun with the right people!

Thank you to my laopo Shreky for the session! :) I hope you love the photographs as much as I do too!

Our very FIRST BFF (Best Friends Forever) Photoshoot!

I used to be actively involved in photoshoots, but that was only me, myself and I.
The thought of having to shoot with my two BFFs (Pei Wen and Ah Miao) this time round excites me!
(It was actually a birthday gift for Ah Miao, but we somehow postponed the shoot to a later date.)

We had so much fun during the shoot that we were told over 300+ photographs were taken.
Photographs are such wonderful inventions... They are essential when it comes to capturing memories.
Photographs are ETERNAL.
You can look back at them 100 years later (not that I can live that long anyway.. LOL) and they will still be there. The youth, that moment, that smile..
They're imprinted there like a sealed stamp.

So of course.. We purchased ALL the photos back (even though abit heart pain), and I attempted to edit them.

So here are a few of our final products (Sorry lah, I am not a professional when it comes to editing photographs.. But I tried my best nonetheless!):

Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I particularly like this cute shot and Ah Miao's (the one standing up) expression:

I edited to give it a more "vintage" feel. Haha.

Now, this gives off an eerie feel, no?
Think Shutter 2. LOL

A photo of our hands. Cool hor??

Now featuring some of my single shots (trying to act like some supermodel only. Chey~)

Omg, why on earth did I have this cheeky expression?! I hope nobody actually copies my picture and put it on 9Gag.

Inspired by Marilyn Monroe:

Shall we dance?

Okay.. final picture of me before nightmares start appearing:

Nothing professional lah, just all in the name of fun!!

And behind these "glamor", now let's look at some BEHIND THE SCENES - using my own camera. Hahaha. Just goofing around with the studio props!!:

My two BFFs rocking the AFRO:

Ta-Da!!

Seriously, time passes fast whenever you are with people you love.
You know, it's true when people said that we do not need MANY friends in life to make it complete..
I admit, I do not really have THAT many friends but I sure am contented with what God has given me - My two BFFs.
They have been with me through thick and thin, and countless laughter and smiles were accumulated so much over the years... Too much that NOT just anybody can comprehend.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
May our friendship continue to blossom and soar to greater heights as we grow older! Hahaha. :)

Merry Christmas to all!

Hey my lovely readers!
Just a simple e-greeting from me to you out there... With lots of love!
(Special credits to Sam Song a.k.a Digitally Sam for the permission in allowing me to use his shots!)

So how are you going to spend your Christmas? :)

Here are some other shots from my previous photoshoot that I shall post here (Thanks SS, for your edits!) - in the festive mood of Christmas!

Haha, I have actually wanted to change my blog banner using a few of these photos... but realized that it can only work for Christmas T_T

On a side note , I discovered that my recent posts had drove a huge influx of traffic recently - Over 4K-5K readers per day and 19,866 visitors per month!
It may not be a large amount as compared to others out there, but its an achievement record for me.
Thanks for your tremendous support thus far! :))
